Out of all the possible ideas in your head, what inspired you to write Revelations?
The inspiration for this book was how childhood nostalgia can warp when we become adults. This book is sort of a love letter to the scary stories we used to love as kids. The stories are short, simple, and fun, but there’s a deeper meaning relating to the society we live in and how we treat each other.
What is the significance of the title?
The title gives away the meaning behind the book. The stories are structured in a way that by the time you get to the end of the book, it’s pretty obvious that there was some deeper meaning intended. The title is a not-so-subtle hint to that.
Tell us about the process for coming up with the cover.
All I knew about the cover going in was that I wanted something that represented balance. My cover artist, Chris Manley, took control after that. What Chris came up with was a representation of balance that just made you feel uneasy and kind of dirty. It is perfect for the book.
Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?
I try to be original. I have never been one to cater to others’ tastes, but at the same time, I want readers to enjoy what I write. So, when it comes right down to it, I suppose I try to be moderately original.
Do you think someone could be a writer if they don’t feel emotions strongly?
Anyone can be a writer. Everyone has a story to tell, and it’s in our nature to be storytellers. There are no specific qualities needed in order for you to tell your story, just go for it!

A fast-paced page turner in the tradition of Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King, Revelations: A Horror Anthology is a twisted mash-up of morality and horror.
DescriptionA fast-paced page turner in the tradition of Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King, Revelations: A Horror Anthology is a twisted mash-up of morality and horror. Fear is that unpleasant feeling of danger looming, either real or perceived. It could be the monster under the bed. It could be the contents of a graveyard. It could be your neighbor. It could be the people you trust. In this book, fear is: The dark. A vacation. Your neighbors. Your loved ones. In this horror anthology, fear can teach us valuable lessons necessary for our survival. Are you ready for yours?
